Most clinics rely on a single device. We use multiple wavelengths (532nm, 755nm, and 1064nm), allowing us to target a wider range of tattoo colours safely and effectively.

By combining these technologies, we can treat over 97% of tattoo inks and adjust treatment based on the tattoo’s colour, depth, and how it responds over time.

How Laser Tattoo Removal Works

Laser tattoo removal works by delivering short pulses of concentrated light into the skin.

These pulses are absorbed by the tattoo pigment, breaking the ink into smaller particles that are gradually cleared by the body’s immune system. The tattoo fades progressively with each session.

Different colours absorb different wavelengths of light — which is why laser choice is critical for effective removal.

 

Why Laser Choice Matters

Not all lasers treat all colours.

Using the wrong wavelength can result in:

• Slow or incomplete fading

• Unnecessary treatments

• Increased risk of skin damage

Our systems allow us to match the correct wavelength to the ink:

• 532 nm targets red, orange, and some lighter pigments

• 755 nm (PicoSure) is effective for blue, green, and resistant inks

• 1064 nm safely treats black and darker pigments across all skin types

This flexibility allows us to treat multi-coloured tattoos more effectively and adjust your treatment as the tattoo fades.

 

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

Tattoo removal is a gradual process.

Most clients require 5–12 treatments, spaced 6–8 weeks apart, to allow the body time to clear fragmented ink particles.

The number of sessions depends on:

• Ink colour and composition

• Tattoo depth and density

• Age of the tattoo

• Location on the body

• Previous treatments or cover-ups

Every tattoo responds differently, and treatment is adjusted as fading progresses.

 

Tattoo Fading for Cover-Up Work

Some clients choose laser treatment to lighten an existing tattoo before a cover-up.

Controlled fading allows tattoo artists to:

• Work with cleaner skin

• Improve detail and contrast

• Avoid heavy, dense cover designs

 

Can All Tattoo Colours Be Removed?

Most tattoo colours can be significantly faded.

• Black and dark blue inks usually respond very well

• Colours such as green, red, and yellow may require different wavelengths and additional sessions

• Some pigments (particularly those containing titanium dioxide or white ink) can be more resistant and may respond more slowly
